Registered Hearth AdvisorA Registered Hearth Advisor is an individual that provides the field assessment of hearth and heating products and associated venting systems during the course of their primary service. Their primary service may be property inspections, mechanical installation, service or repair, environmental survey or any other primary service outside of the hearth industry. Your task is to identify any apparent defects, malfunctions, safety concerns or health & fire hazards that can be observed during the performance of your primary service. This assessment may include but is not limited to fireplaces, stoves, heaters, furnaces, boilers, chimneys, and all associated vent systems. This course will include subject matter on the Hearth Industry, Reference Material, Product Recognition, Operation & Performance, Fire Technology, Personal Injury, Inherent Problems, Pattern Recognition, Energy Conservation, Risk Management, and the Practical Application of this information. A proper assessment will not only represent your client, but also reduce your liability. The following course does not qualify you as an Inspector or Technician but will assist you in determining the need for further investigation based on your knowledge and findings.
